Grounding and Code Upgrades in Azilda, Chelmsford and Greater Sudbury

Grounding and bonding give fault current a safe path, and modern protective devices cut power before a small problem becomes a dangerous one. Many older homes were built before these protections were required, or have had them compromised by later work.

Code upgrades are often triggered by a home sale, an insurance request, or an inspection report. Sutton Electrical reviews the findings with you, explains what each item actually means, and corrects them so you have documentation you can rely on.

When to consider a code upgrade
  • A home inspection or insurer flagged electrical items
  • Ungrounded outlets or a missing or damaged ground connection
  • No GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, or outdoors
  • Missing bonding on water or gas piping
  • Buying or selling a home with older electrical work
  • Evidence of do-it-yourself wiring that was never inspected
